IMPORTANT NOTE

IMPORTANT NOTE
Warframe as a game is always changing and evolving. Two major examples that I have personally played through are the U22.12 weapon overhaul, and the U27.2 Warframe Revised update. Unfortunately for a sporadic content creator like myself, this means that my content is made redundant over time, and I don't have the time to update everything. As such, please take note of the version at the time of each review's latest update.

Review: Nataruk (U31.0.3)

The Nataruk is a new Sentient Bow, introduced in U31 The New War. With a unique "perfect" charge mechanic providing immense potential damage-per-shot by Bow standards, it is a novel and very powerful conventional Bow.

All The New War spoilers have been censored from this review.

Review: Nekros (Prime) [U30.9.2]

As his name suggests, Nekros is a necromancy-themed Warframe, introduced back in U10. Nekros Prime was introduced in U:The Silver Grove H3, between U18 and U19. With an odd collection of abilities, Nekros fills a unique and largely unchallenged niche as a Lootframe, as well as filling other roles to varying degrees of effectiveness.

Review: Phantasma (U30.8.3)

The Phantasma is an MR9 Beam Shotgun. Revenant's signature Primary, it was introduced alongside him in U23.5. With an extreme Status focus, it can cripple most enemies with just a short burst and surprisingly decent AoE. However it is lacking in direct damage, most noticeable against Status-resistant/immune enemies.

Baro Ki'Teer: 22/10/2021

Quite a few items worth consideration in this Baro visit, as well as a few hard-to-obtain cosmetic.

Thursday 14 October 2021

Review: Hikou Prime (U30.8.2)

The Hikou Prime is an MR4 Thrown Secondary. It is an old favourite of many players, having been in the game since U14.8 back in 2014. Though it received a significant buff in U22.12, it is still badly outclassed by many other Secondaries, and offers almost nothing notable in the current meta.

Baro Ki'Teer: 08/10/2021

The Vastilok has returned, quite quickly compared to other similar weapons which is a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one. A couple of other good items as well if you haven't picked them up previously.

Review: Strun Prime and Wraith (U30.7.6)

The Strun family is one of the oldest weapon lines in Warframe, with the base Strun being available in-game in its original release. It has since seen several variants introduced, notably the MR10 Strun Wraith in U9.7.2, and most recently the MR14 Strun Prime in U30.7.

Review: Magnus Prime (U30.7.5)

The Magnus Prime is an MR14 Secondary, released with Nidus Prime in U30.7. A Semi-Auto revolver, it sports solid though unexceptional stats and a powerful, if somewhat unreliable, buff. This buff gives it a unique niche among comparable weapons, but its inconsistency can be quite frustrating.

Loadouts: Operation Plague Star (U30.7.3)

Operation: Plague Star (alternatively known at times as Operation: Forma, Operation: Augur Message and Operation: Naramon Lens) has returned, lasting from 08 Sep 2021 to 30 Sep 2021 EDT. I'd done an article on it long, long ago during one of its previous re-runs. The event itself has not changed and only a few rewards have been added, but it is nonetheless worth farming for its many different rewards.

Review: Tenet Spirex (U30.6.1)

The MR14 Tenet Spirex is one of the completely new Secondaries introduced in U30.5 Sisters of Parvos. A slow-firing Semi-Auto Pistol, it has very good Crit and great Status Chance. Strong stats coupled with an explosive shot make the Tenet Spirex one of the best Semi-Auto Pistols in the game.

Sunday 29 August 2021

Loadouts: Profit-Taker Orb Saryn (U30.6.1)

It's been a while since my previous post about Profit-Taker, a time before the Helminth Segment existed, before I even had a good Exodia Contagion Melee. Much has changed since then, with significant impact on the PT meta.

Review: Kuva Hek (U30.6.1)

The Kuva Hek is an MR15 Shotgun, one of the three new Kuva weapons introduced in U30.5. It packs a great deal of firepower into a few shots, making it a very good single-target weapon, but is severely lacking when up against large numbers of enemies.

Saturday 21 August 2021

Review: Kompressa (U30.6.1)

The Kompressa is an MR8 Secondary. Yareli's signature Pistol, it fires slow-moving bubbles that explode a short time after impact. With pure Viral base damage and high Status Chance, it is a decent AoE weapon with a useful niche, but faces stiff competition from some other very strong weapons.

UPDATE 17/09/2022 (U32.0.6): specific details updated, primarily around the impact (or lack thereof) of Multishot.

Tuesday 17 August 2021

Review: Tenet Arca Plasmor (U30.6.1)

The Tenet Arca Plasmor is an MR16 Shotgun, firing a single massive plasma wave. With several stat increases over the already strong Arca Plasmor, the TAPlasmor is a great crowd clearer and overall very solid weapon.

Friday 13 August 2021

Baro Ki'Teer: 13/08/2021

A new Floof to go with theone from last fortnight, otherwise not a whole lot of note this time around.

Review: Tenet Diplos (U30.6.1)

The Tenet Diplos is an MR16 Dual Secondary. Another new weapon introduced in U30.5 Sisters of Parvos, it is a conventional Full-Auto Secondary with a homing feature. With great Crit and an innate reload-while-holstered effect, it is a very solid weapon.

Wednesday 11 August 2021

Prime Unvaulting: Nyx and Rhino Primes (2021)

Another "new" Unvaulting, Rhino is a useful one but Nyx is mystifying, considering she is permanently available from Railjack.

Sunday 8 August 2021

Review: Kuva Zarr (U30.6.0)

The Kuva Zarr is an MR15 bringer of death, one of the three new Kuva weapons added in U30.5. With an explosive Cannon mode that launches powerful explosives as well as a Barrage mode that deals great concentrated damage, it is a versatile and extremely capable weapon.

Monday 2 August 2021

Review: Tenet Detron (U30.5.5)

The Tenet Detron is an MR16 Shotgun Secondary, one of the many weapons introduced in U30.5: Sisters of Parvos. Packing a very solid stat spread, it is a fairly powerful, if not particularly exceptional, weapon.

Tuesday 27 July 2021

Review: Tenet Flux Rifle (U30.5.4)

The Tenet Flux Rifle is an MR16 Rifle, and a major upgrade over the base Flux Rifle. With great Status Chance, Slash bias and Fire Rate, it is an exceptional single-target Status weapon, though consumes a lot of ammo in doing so.

Friday 23 July 2021

Review: Tenet Envoy (U30.5.4)

The Tenet Envoy is a new MR16 rocket launcher. Firing slow, high explosive projectiles, it is a very capable room clearer. A novel guidance function gives it a unique feature over other explosive weapons, though it faces stiff competition from both old favourites and new contenders.

Monday 19 July 2021

Review: Tenet Cycron (U30.5.4)

The Tenet Cycron is an MR14 Beam Secondary, one of the new weapons that can be acquired from the also new Sisters of Parvos. With greatly improved stats and a chaining mechanic, it is an overall very strong weapon.

Saturday 17 July 2021

Review: Ambassador (U30.5.3)

The Ambassador is an MR10 Rifle, introduced in U30.5 Sisters of Parvos. An Electric-based weapon, it has a conventional Full-Auto mode, as well as a slow but powerful charge-fire. It is a novel, if not especially strong, weapon.

Baro Ki'Teer: 16/07/2021

A lot of good stuff from Baro this time around.

Sunday 11 July 2021

New Mods: Galvanized Mods (U30.5.3)

One of the major additions in the Sisters of Parvos update (U30.5) was a new series of mods called Galvanized mods. These mods are one part of the "Arsenal Divide" section of the update, intended to reduce the power gap between Melee and ranged weapons. The Galvanized mods are all variants of existing mods, with slightly reduced base stats but a ramp-up mechanic that drastically increases their power upon kills.

These mods are all available from the Arbitration Store, for 20 Vitus Essence each. They are all Rank 10 mods, with the rank-up costs of a Rare (Gold) mod.

EDIT 12/11/2021: DE have clarified in U30.9 that the +Damage from Galv Apt/Shot/Savvy not working on explosions is intended.

Friday 2 July 2021

Baro Ki'Teer: 03/06/2021

Prisma Machete has appeared as expected, with the surprise addition of the Opticor Vandal.

Friday 18 June 2021

Baro Ki'Teer: 18/06/2021

A new mod that became linkable from the most recent Hotfix, otherwise not a great deal notable.

Sunday 13 June 2021

Review: Octavia (Prime) [U30.3.5]

Octavia is a music-themed Warframe, originally released in U20.0. Octavia Prime was released later on in U29.9. A Warframe with a wide variety of potent abilities, she is quite versatile and scales quite well against very high level enemies. Octavia is often considered among the most powerful Frames in the game, though her unusual playstyle means that she is not for everyone.

Friday 4 June 2021

Baro Ki'Teer: 04/06/2021

A couple of neat items in Baro's inventory this time around, including the Neo O1 Relic which hasn't been seen for a long time.

Monday 31 May 2021

Review: Astilla Prime (U30.3.3)

The Astilla Prime is an MR14 Shotgun. It is a direct upgrade of the MR10 Astilla, firing explosive glass slugs. Gara Prime's signature weapon, the Astilla Prime is a fairly solid, though perhaps not outstanding, weapon.

Friday 21 May 2021

Baro Ki'Teer: 21/05/2021

Another Baro visit. The knee plates are new, matching the new chest plate from last fortnight's visit. The Relic is worth mention as the only way to get Volt Prime parts currently.

Friday 7 May 2021

Baro Ki'Teer: 07/05/2021

A couple nice Prisma items and a new armour piece, but otherwise not much special this time around.

Monday 3 May 2021

Review: Epitaph (U30.1.0)

The Epitaph is an MR8 wrist-mounted Secondary. Sevagoth's signature weapon, it sports two very different firing modes. With each firing mode playing into a particular role very well, it has a number of major strengths, but also some notable weaknesses.

Saturday 24 April 2021

Baro Ki'Teer: 23/04/2021

A few useful mods from Baro this time around, but nothing new of particular note.

Friday 23 April 2021

Prime Unvaulting: Chroma and Zephyr Primes (2021)

A new Unvaulting has just been announced. Chroma and Zephyr Primes will become available once more starting April 27th, replacing Banshee and Mirage Primes.

Friday 9 April 2021

Baro Ki'Teer: 09/04/2021

Halikar Wraith is new, and there's a whole bunch of solid-but-not-amazing items this time around.

Review: Pandero Prime (U29.10.10)

Pandero Prime is one of Octavia Prime's signature weapons, an MR14 Secondary. With very strong stats across the board, it is a solid, if fairly un-interesting, low-capacity hand cannon.

Saturday 27 March 2021

Tuesday 23 March 2021

New Mods: Internal Bleeding and Hemorrhage (U29.10.2)

U29.10 was predominantly a Railjack update, adding in Corpus Railjack nodes, as well as another rework of Railjack mechanics. However, in the midst of all this, it also introduced two rather unusual mods.

Tuesday 16 March 2021

Loadouts: Steel Path Saryn (U29.9.1)

In a majority of content, and particularly in (Elite) Sanctuary Onslaught, Saryn is renowned for her ability to wipe out massive numbers of enemies with ease. The drastically increased tankiness of Steel Path enemies greatly reduces the speed at which her abilities will map-clear, however she can easily be adjusted to be fearsome weapon-buffing platform.

Saturday 13 March 2021

Baro Ki'Teer: 13/03/2021

A new Primed mod in Baro's stock, but otherwise not much of note this time around.

Friday 5 March 2021

Review: Tenora Prime (U29.9.1)

The Tenora Prime is an MR14 spool-up Primary, released in U29.9. Octavia Prime's signature Rifle, it is a direct upgrade from the base Tenora, and a very strong Rifle overall.
