IMPORTANT NOTE

IMPORTANT NOTE
Warframe as a game is always changing and evolving. Two major examples that I have personally played through are the U22.12 weapon overhaul, and the U27.2 Warframe Revised update. Unfortunately for a sporadic content creator like myself, this means that my content is made redundant over time, and I don't have the time to update everything. As such, please take note of the version at the time of each review's latest update.

Review: Akarius Prime (U35.5.3)

The MR14 Akarius Prime is an explosive Dual Secondary. Gauss Prime's signature Secondary, it Burst-Fires homing missiles that excel at dealing damage and spreading Status procs in a huge range. Low Ammo Max is its main limiting weakness, and can be effectively built and played around.

Review: Afuris Prime (U32.2.10)

The Afuris Prime is an MR12 Full-Auto Dual Secondary. Baruuk Prime's signature Pistols, it is a moderately capable, fast-firing, Status-leaning weapon. However, it is largely unexceptional and generally outclassed by a good number of other Secondaries.

Review: Twin Grakatas (U31.7.2)

The Twin Grakatas are an MR9 Dual Secondary, introduced back in U17. Clem's signature weapon, as its name suggests it is consists of a pair of Grakata Rifles, with similar base stats albeit as a Secondary rather than a Primary. It excels at putting a huge number of rounds downrange, dealing very good Burst DPS but also consuming a ridiculous amount of ammo. While undoubtedly strong, it has several notable drawbacks and faces rather stiff competition.

Review: Twin Kohmak (U31.6.3)

The Twin Kohmak is a rather old MR10 Dual Secondary, introduced back in U16. As its name suggests, it shares many similarities with the Primary Shotgun Kohm (and its Kuva variant). A spool-up weapon, it increases in both Fire Rate and Multishot during sustained fire, but also consumes more ammo-per-shot at full speed. While the Twin Kohmak packs great Status output, that is about its only key strength and it faces strong competition in many other aspects.

Review: Kuva Twin Stubbas (Updated U31.6.3)

Updated 24th June 2022, U31.6.3
Original posted U27.1.2

The Kuva Twin Stubbas are an MR13 Dual Secondary introduced with Kuva Liches. With great Status Chance backed up by solid Crit and a very large Mag Capacity, they are among the best Dual Secondaries in the game currently.

Review: Akbronco Prime (U31.3.1)

The Akbronco Prime is one of the oldest Primes in the game, introduced all the way back in U12.4. A pair of Secondary Shotguns, it can inflict a decent number of Status procs at very close range. New mods have breathed new life into it, however overall it is largely outclassed by other new Secondary Shotguns.

Review: Tenet Diplos (U30.6.1)

The Tenet Diplos is an MR16 Dual Secondary. Another new weapon introduced in U30.5 Sisters of Parvos, it is a conventional Full-Auto Secondary with a homing feature. With great Crit and an innate reload-while-holstered effect, it is a very solid weapon.

Review: Akstiletto Prime (U28.2.0)

The Akstiletto Prime is an MR10 Dual Secondary, released back in U18.12 alongside Vauban and Fragor Primes. Once a gold standard for Pistols, in recent times it faces stiff competition from a variety of new as well as old, buffed weapons. Nonetheless, it remains a reliable and effective weapon.

Review: Akbolto Prime (U27.5.6)

The Akbolto Prime is an MR13 dual Secondary, released alongside Mirage and Kogake Primes. With among the best Crit stats in the game and a decent Status Chance, it possesses impressive firepower. However, it is somewhat restrained by firing bolts with travel time, and being a Semi-Auto with a painfully high RoF.

A new Unvault has been announced that will immediately follow the closing of Oberon and Nekros: Trinity and Nova. This switch will occur on the 26th of May.

Review: Aksomati Prime (U27.0.11)

The Aksomati Prime is an MR12 dual Secondary, recently released alongside Baza and Ivara Primes. With a number of relatively minor buffs over the base Aksomati, it is very potent weapon, if rather ammo-hungry.

Review: Akarius (U25.7.6)

The Akarius is an MR8 explosive secondary, and is Gauss' signature sidearm. It deals significant damage in a wide radius, with high Status capabilities and delayed arming to mitigate self-damage. It is a fairly powerful secondary, though is held back by horribly long Reload Time and a tiny spare ammo reserve.

Review: Secura Dual Cestra (U24.7.2)

The Secura Dual Cestra is a high capacity MR10 dual secondary that showers its victims in laser bolts. With high RoF, heavy recoil, and a painfully long reload, it is a fun and reasonably powerful, but flawed weapon.

Review: Dex Furis (U24.2.15)

With Warframe's Sixth Anniversary approaching, I thought it a good idea to cover the Dex weapons that are exclusively available during the event. The Dex Furis is an MR10 dual secondary, originally released for Warframe's first anniversary in U12.6. Having received several buffs in the past, and with a very high RoF and large magazine, it is a rather effective, if very ammo hungry, dual secondary.

Review: AkJagara Prime (U24.2.6)

The AkJagara Prime is an MR12 dual secondary, released alongside Mesa and Redeemer Primes in U24.2.2. It is a 2-shot Burst-Fire weapon with a high RoF, and is one of the few dual secondaries that uses different models for the two pistols. With almost universal improvements over the base model, the AkJagara Prime is a fairly powerful and versatile weapon.

Review: AkLex Prime (U24.2.6)

The AkLex Prime is a dual secondary with the highest MR lock of all weapons currently, at MR15. It is available only from Baro-exclusive Relics, the first of which was originally introduced in U19.8.1. With several notable flaws, and recent powercreep like the Tombfinger Kitgun, the AkLex Prime is not a weapon for everyone, nor is it as overwhelmingly powerful as its unique MR15 lock might suggest.

Review: Prisma Twin Gremlins (U24.1.2)

The MR11 Prisma Twin Gremlins was originally released in U23.4.2 in Baro's stock, though has not been stocked since. It is only the second Prisma secondary in the game, and the first dual secondary. With major improvements over its base model, the Prisma Twin Gremlins is a fantastic Full-Auto secondary, and an overall great weapon.

Review: AkVasto Prime (U24.1.0)

Having been only just released in U24.0.6 with the Mag and Nova Unvaulting, the MR12 AkVasto Prime is of course a dual version of the Vasto Prime. With only a couple of stat differences between the single and dual version, the AkVastoP is not functionally very different to the single VastoP. Like AkLex Prime, it is available in its own unique relic, the Axi A5, which contains all the necessary Vasto and AkVasto Prime parts.
