IMPORTANT NOTE

IMPORTANT NOTE
Warframe as a game is always changing and evolving. Two major examples that I have personally played through are the U22.12 weapon overhaul, and the U27.2 Warframe Revised update. Unfortunately for a sporadic content creator like myself, this means that my content is made redundant over time, and I don't have the time to update everything. As such, please take note of the version at the time of each review's latest update.

Review: Zylok Prime (U34.0.8)

The Zylok Prime is an MR13 Duplex Secondary. Grendel Prime's signature pistol, it is a slow-firing, Slash-focused weapon that is a significant improvement over its base form. Even so, it struggles to carve out a notable niche in a sea of unfathomably powerful weapons.

NOTE: This review does not take into consideration the Zylok Incarnon Genesis Adapter.

Baro Ki'Teer: 03/11/2023

A couple of notable items this visit, in particular Gotva Prime if you missed the Tennocon Twitch drops.

Saturday 28 October 2023

Loadouts: Map Clearer Saryn (U34.0.5)

Saryn has always been my go-to frame for clearing large numbers of enemies, particularly high-density missions like Defence and Sanctuary Onslaught. I thought it worth sharing my setup for clearing these missions, effective up to roughly level 100 (non-Steel Path).

Loadouts: Boss Hunter Titania (U33.6.9)

I use Titania for most mission types, including Assassinations for which she generally excels. Many assassinations are simple - get to the boss, kill the boss, and get to extraction. I've crafted this loadout to be even more effective in this role than my usual Titania setups.

Review: Gotva Prime (U33.6.9)

The Gotva Prime is a new MR12 Rifle. Released as one of the Tennocon 2023 Twitch drops, it is a solid, if rather unexceptional Full-Auto weapon.

Review: Fulmin Prime (U33.6.0)

The Fulmin Prime is an MR12 Rifle, an improvement over the MR8 Fulmin. Wisp Prime's signature weapon, it possesses two distinct, Crit-heavy firing modes. Semi-Auto fires a hefty projectile great against crowds, while Full-Auto is a conventional, accurate hitscan attack. The two combine into a single, versatile and reasonably powerful weapon.

Baro Ki'Teer: 28/07/2023

Prisma Angstrum perfectly timed to receive a new Incarnon Genesis upgrade in the coming week, otherwise a few other decent items.

Review: Lex Incarnon (U33.5.6)

The Lex is another very old weapon family that has been given a new lease on life with Incarnon Genesis. Thoroughly outclassed in its base form for a long time, Incarnon form turns the Lex into one of the strongest single-shot weapons in the entire game.

NOTE: This review demonstrates Incarnon on a Lex Prime.

Baro Ki'Teer: 14/07/2023

Not a whole lot of stuff this visit, but Primed Reach is always greatly appreciated.

Review: Rauta (U33.5.3)

The Rauta is a new MR8 Shotgun. Kullervo's signature weapon, it offers unique synergies with Melee weapons, building their combo with its own shots. However, as a weapon in its own right, it is rather underwhelming and offers little over its competitors.

Review: Burston Incarnon (U33.0.14)

As you'd most likely know by now, in U33: The Duviri Paradox, DE released a number of "Incarnon Genesis" adapters for existing weak or powercrept weapons. In many ways these have re-invigorated said weapons to be reasonably competitive with the current meta, if not outright top-tier.

I thought it appropriate to start this review series with my favourite of the lot (thus far), the Burston Incarnon. As Incarnon Genesis also makes the base form drastically stronger, these will be largely kept separate of reviews for the un-Incarnoned base weapon.

NOTE: This review demonstrates Incarnon on a Burston Prime.

Review: Cinta (U33.0.14)

The Cinta is a new MR6 Bow, used by one of the new Duviri enemies. Using the Nataruk's Perfect Shot mechanic, it is a surprisingly strong Bow with greater versatility than the typical Bow.

Tuesday 23 May 2023

Review: Prisma Lenz (U33.0.10)

The Prisma Lenz is an MR12 explosive Bow Primary. An upgraded variant of the MR8 Lenz, it delivers impressive damage in a wide range with its two-part explosion, though even with Hunter Munitions is not the most effective against heavily armoured enemies.

Loadouts: Tanky Steel Path Yareli (U33.0.4)

Yareli has gone through several rounds of buffs since her original release in U30.5. As the K-Drive Frame, she was always destined to be polarising, and her underwhelming on-release state certainly didn't help. With her many buffs and introduction of Augments though, Yareli is a surprisingly tanky Frame with reasonable CC and great Secondary buffs - provided you can tolerate her K-Drive gameplay.

Sunday 16 April 2023

Loadouts: Steel Path Shooting Gallery Saryn (U32.3.7)

Shooting Gallery is Mesa's Helminth subsumable Ability, offering a short stun and small weapon buff. These effects are unexceptional on their own, however where it really shines is its Augment Muzzle Flash, which offers a free periodic Radial Blind just from achieving 6 kills/kill assists with Shooting Gallery active. On a Frame that excels at damaging and killing a wide range of enemies like Saryn, this is effectively a constant Radial Blind that renders all non-immune enemies within range completely helpless.

Monday 20 March 2023

Loadouts: Single Element Bubonico (U32.3.7)

The Bubonico is possibly my favourite weapon in all of Warframe, combining a strong Full-Auto Primary Fire with a Status-focused explosive Alternate Fire. I have spent an immense amount of time using it and refining its build, and thought it worth sharing what I'd settled on.

Sunday 5 March 2023

Review: Citrine (U32.3.5)

Citrine is a new Warframe, only just released in U32.3. A gemstone/crystal-themed Frame, Citrine is an incredible tanky Support that also offers a degree of CC and debuffing. With a wide range of strong and useful Abilities, she is very well-rounded and offers something in most mission types.

Sunday 26 February 2023

Review: Steflos (U32.3.4)

The Steflos is a new MR8 Shotgun. Citrine's signature Shotgun, it fires a short-range, wide  wave projectile that grows in both size and lifespan as it hits enemies. Much like the Arca Plasmor line, it excels against crowds of enemies, however is somewhat lacking against singular, heavier targets.

Baro Ki'Teer: 24/02/2023

A few decent items this visit, though I wouldn't consider any of them must-haves.

Saturday 18 February 2023

Review: Tenet Ferrox (U32.3.3)

The Tenet Ferrox is an MR16 Speargun Primary, added in U32.2. It is a majority, though surprisingly minor, upgrade over the base Ferrox. It sits in an awkward middle-of-the-road spot, being faster firing but weaker than slow, heavy hitting weapons, but also significantly slower than more conventional fast-firing weapons. Besides its unique and rather useful Alt Fire, I find the TFerrox to be primarily a decent single-target weapon, as its AoE is very weak.

Sunday 5 February 2023

Loadouts: Thermal Sunder Titania (U32.2.10)

Titania is of course my favourite frame, with one of her most notable strengths being aerial speed and manoeuvrability. The introduction of the Helminth Segment grants every Warframe a massive range of new Ability options, allowing them to patch up flaws and weaknesses, or introduce entirely new capabilities.

In this case, Gauss' Thermal Sunder gives every Warframe a damaging AoE ability that with high Efficiency is easily spammable. On Titania this results in the fastest moving low-level cleaner in the game, ideal for quickly completing lower-level missions like Void Fissures.

Thursday 26 January 2023

Review: Afuris Prime (U32.2.10)

The Afuris Prime is an MR12 Full-Auto Dual Secondary. Baruuk Prime's signature Pistols, it is a moderately capable, fast-firing, Status-leaning weapon. However, it is largely unexceptional and generally outclassed by a good number of other Secondaries.

Saturday 7 January 2023

Review: Perigale (U32.2.8)

The Perigale is a new MR8 Sniper Rifle. Voruna's signature Primary, it is a four-round Burst-Fire weapon with strong overall stats. Mainly limited by a very slow Reload Time and a small Ammo Max, landing multiple headshots or headshot kills will grant it infinite ammo for a short time. Used skilfully, the Perigale is one of the strongest single-target weapons in the game, and carves itself a strong niche in what is already a niche category.
