Baro Ki'Teer: 03/11/2023


A couple of notable items this visit, in particular Gotva Prime if you missed the Tennocon Twitch drops.

New Items

  • Gotva Prime - MR14 Full-Auto Rifle. Originally available only as a Tennocon Twitch drop.

Rankings

Must Buy

  • Shell Shock - 60/60 Electric mod for Shotguns. Extremely useful for any build that uses Electric/combined Electric and wants increased Status Chance. Can be farmed from Hive Caches on Eris, but the drop rate is quite low.

Good

  • Gotva Prime - Solid but not exceptional weapon, in a category full of exceptional weapons. While far from bad, it does very little to stand out from the crowd.
  • Primed Cryo Rounds - +165% Cold for Rifles. A significant direct damage boost and bias shift for any build using Cold/combined Cold.
  • Ki'Teer - Colour palette that notably does not cost Plat.
  • Prisma Gorgon - MR11 Spool-up Rifle. Moderately strong weapon with several notable drawbacks (notably poor accuracy and very high recoil), however has access to an Incarnon Genesis Adapter that makes it significantly more powerful.

Niche

  • Prisma Grinlok - MR11 Semi-Auto Rifle. High Slash bias and Status Chance, allowing it to naturally inflict strong Slash procs. However, it is still only a decent single target weapon in a meta of AoE weapons.
  • Primed Magazine Warp - +55% Mag Capacity for Rifles. Can be nice quality-of-life for a few weapons, however usually struggles to justify the mod slot.
  • Sands of Inaros - Quest for Inaros. Always in Baro's inventory.
  • Baro Void-Signal - Key to exclusive mission line, awarding cosmetics. Can only be purchased and played with Inaros Prime. Always in Baro's inventory.

Do Not Buy

  • Sweeping Serration - +120% Slash for Shotguns. Very rarely used now that Hunter Munitions exists, and is a drop from Hydrolyst so can be farmed or bought from other players for very cheap.
  • Astral Twilight - Stance for Thrown Melee. Notably drops from Denial Bursas and Kuva Jesters, so is readily farmable or bought from other players for very cheap.
  • 3 Day Affinity Booster - while useful, I generally consider it better value to sell the Prime parts for Plat instead, and buy the booster directly from Market.
