Warframe's 6th anniversary is approaching, and DE has announced a set of special Alerts and Bonus Weekends to coincide with it, alongside the usual Dex items being made available afterwards (which I'll cover in a later post).
The "Weekend War" event consists of three Alerts, each covering a given weekend including the Friday. Completion of each Alert will award special Relics. Additionally, there is a secondary objective during that weekend, of killing a certain number of a particular enemy. Killing enough of that enemy will result in a Bonus Weekend after the Weekend War Alerts have finished. Notably, these kills do not have to occur in the Alert itself, they can be accumulated in any mission during the given timeframe.
Below is an excerpt from the Warframe website of the exact timing, target enemy, and rewards.
These Relics contain the parts for Saryn Prime and her weapons, Spira and Nikana Primes; this Event thus acts as a pseudo-Unvaulting of sorts, though it is currently unknown which Relic contains what part exactly. Note that these Alerts are the only current source of these Relics, and can only be completed once. It is unknown if they will appear elsewhere, though I expect them to show up in Baro's stock in the future, given the way these Relics are arranged.
Saryn (Prime) is a toxin-themed Warframe, focused on dealing AoE damage, enhanced by status debuffs. She is arguably the best AoE Frame in the game currently, capable of wiping out massive groups of enemies with ease. She is also reasonably tough for a DPS frame, capable of taking hits and healing it off.
Saryn's Spore (1) infects a targeted enemy, spreading and increasing in damage the longer it lasts. Between semi-infinite scaling damage and frequent Corrosive procs, given time, sufficient victims, and with proper maintenance, Spores can kill almost any enemy with ease, and can do so across the entire map. Molt (2) leaves a decoy that draws enemy fire, sheds Saryn of all status procs, and gives Saryn a short speed boost. It can be useful in a pinch, though can be unreliable in drawing enemy fire. Toxic Lash (3) adds 30% Toxin damage to your weapons (doubled for melee), with guaranteed Toxin procs and also popping any Spores on the target. It is a useful weapon buff, especially against Corpus, and makes Spore maintenance much easier. Miasma (4) deals Viral damage-over-time, with guaranteed proc, to enemies in range. Its damage is quadrupled against any enemy infected by Spores. Miasma is useful both as a nuke as well as a Spore spreader.
Saryn's Augments are hit-and-miss, with Regenerative Molt (2) being the stand-out.
Saryn Prime has increased Armour, Energy and Sprint Speed over the base Saryn, among the best Prime stat boosts. Overall, Saryn is a great AoE DPS Warframe, capable of dealing major damage in a massive range if properly used, and is fairly tough for a non-Tank Warframe.
Spira Prime is a Semi-Auto thrown secondary, with extremely high crit stats and solid base Damage. It is the most powerful of all conventional thrown secondaries, competing for raw DPS with many conventional pistols. As a thrown secondary, it is also innately silent, though also suffers from travel time and projectile drop. If you're after a powerful silent secondary, or a good thrown secondary, the Spira Prime is a pretty good weapon to pursue.
Nikana Prime is a Nikana-type melee, with solid crit and status, high base Damage and good Attack Speed. It is a solid and very well-rounded melee weapon, though can be eclipsed in either crit or status, and base Damage or Attack Speed, by a Sepfahn Nikana Zaw. It does however outclass a balanced Sepfahn Nikana build. Personally, I find the Nikana Prime to be fairly unexceptional and boring, though it is definitely not weak by any means.
